Here are the largest evaluation projects I have worked on at the Indianapolis Zoo and through my graduate program.
Magnificent Macaws
Formative Evaluation of an Animal Presentation at the Indianapolis Zoo
Observed over 20 macaw presentations to gauge if staff was reinforcing the main conservation message of the presentation and if the visitor experience of the featured birds was entertaining and educational
Wrote a report detailing the results of these observations and a visitor survey
Presented results of the evaluation to internal stakeholders
Worked with education and bird staff to implement my report's recommendations into the 2021 version of the presentation
Tembo Camp
Summative Evaluation of an Exhibit at the Indianapolis Zoo
Collected, entered, cleaned, and analyzed timing and tracking data and drew conclusions from them in a 10-page report
Worked with over 1,000 visitor survey responses to write reports on visitor misconceptions and effects of interacting with Zoo staff on the visitor experience of the exhibit
Indy Museum Exchange
Formative Evaluation of a New Initiative of IUPUI
With 2 collaborators, designed a formative evaluation study of the Indy Museum Exchange project, including writing an online survey
Analyzed and presented the preliminary results of the survey to the organizers of the project
